Do not give up your dreams - Evangelical Messages from God's Word

5 Joseph had a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him even more.
6 For he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream I had:
7 we were binding sheaves in the field, and lo, my sheaf arose, and stood, and your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
8 They said his brothers, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? Thou indeed have dominion over us? So hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.
9 Joseph Had another dream, and told it to his brothers, saying I had yet another dream, and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.
10 And he told his father and his brothers, his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream you had? Shall we'll come, I and thy mother and thy brethren, to bow ourselves to the earth upon his face before thee?
11 And his brethren envied him, but his father kept the saying in mind.

Genesis 37:5 to 11

Interesting!

When Joseph of Egypt had these dreams he was still seventeen years old. As we can see he was still big boy happy and totally unconcerned. Today we know very well that those dreams that marked the young boy Joseph were actually revelations, that too early, our God was already burning in his heart.

Let's take a trip back to front.

Now! We all know what was the wonderful destination that Joseph of Egypt had. We already know the beginning of his life. We all know very well that Joseph went through major and serious problems with his brothers and, later, as in Egypt, continued to face enormous trials and tribulations.

The story of Joseph in Egypt is very interesting and edifying for us because it gave us great examples of behavior and trust in God. Its spectacular history and the wonderful outcome that God did in the life of this great man of faith will always be for us a wonderful source of inspiration and learning for our steadfast walk with our God.

It's amazing how the dreams of Joseph were faithfully fulfilled by God. The words we use in everyday life in which we say to a brother or sister that God has a plan for his or her life is just that. God's plans can be revealed to men of the most varied. In the case of young Joseph, the promises of God were revealed to him through dreams.

Joseph, even amid great difficulties, know that God had a plan for his life. That was very important for him not desesperasse or lose faith and hope that he deposited in divine providence. So, waiting for the hope he never ceased to shake even discouraged in the face of great adversity he just facing during his youth.

It is important to bear in mind that although God had a dream to Joseph's life, his life was not easy. We all know how many and how many trials he had to spend in order to live the dream and fulfillment of the promises of God in his life.

We all know that sometimes things got very complicated in the life of Joseph, however, when we realize that Joseph would not let the problems or the surprises of life abatessem or defeat. Even after great humiliations and persecutions he always raised his head, and shook the dust, with great faith and perseverance, he went ahead with love and exemplary fidelity to God.

God was with Joseph and Joseph walked with God:

2 But the Lord was with Joseph, and he became prosperous, and was at the house of his master the Egyptian.
3 And his master saw that God was with him, and he did to prosper in his hand all that he undertook.
4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him, so he made him overseer of his house and into his hand all he had.
5 Since that put him as overseer in his house and all his possessions on the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake, and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had, in the house and in the field. - Genesis 39:2 to 5

Now we come to a crucial point: faithfulness in walking with God.

We can see that from a very young Joseph is trying to walk in the ways of the Lord always seeking to walk in truth and with sincerity of heart. That truth and sincerity of heart already showed the kind of relationship that Joseph since very young, had with God. It was a very close and full of love and fidelity. Look reverence and faithfulness that Joseph had with God, look at the level of Fear and love for this great man had with our Creator and Lord, let us note well these words spoken by him at a time of great trial:

How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39:9

This great little prayer shows one of the most sublime moments of love and fear of God ever reported in the history of God's Word. It's amazing that this huge teaching has little text. As would be nice if all people think and act the same way that Joseph Everything in the world would be better and certainly would be a world of great peace and happiness.

Observing these few words and piercing, once again, proved that the things of God are very simple. Let's continue!

What is your dream?
What is our dream?
What is the dream that God has placed in your heart and mine?
You want that dream a reality in your life?

So how did we do the blessed Joseph in Egypt. We do the same thing that made this great man of faith, which was one of the most blessed men in the history of God's Word. We faithfully follow the example he left us:

How can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39:9

That's it! We must think and act in the same way that he acted Joseph of Egypt. Every time we are to make a decision or attitude more delicate, sometimes all that are in doubt about which path to take, we must remember these blessed words. Thus, whatever we do we do for the honor and glory of our God.

Thinking and acting so certainly we will be providing all the conditions to which Father God can accomplish in us all the dreams and plans he always dreamed to our lives.

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Amen and thank God. Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
