1 passed to the other side of the lake, to the territory of the Gadarenes.
2 So they left the boat, a man possessed of an unclean spirit came out of the cemetery
3 where he had his refuge and came to meet him. Could not tie it with string or even in the graves,
4 because he had been often bound with fetters and chains, but the shattered and no one could subdue.
5 Always, day and night, walked the tombs and on the mountains, crying and cutting himself with stones.
6 Seeing Jesus from afar, he ran and fell down before him, crying aloud:
7 What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? Adjure thee by God, torment me not.
8 is that Jesus told her: Unclean spirit, come out of him!
9 And he said unto him, What is thy name? He said: My name is Legion, for we are many.
10 And they asked him in proceedings other than those cast outside this region.
11 Now a large herd of pigs grazing walked there along the hill.
12 And the spirits besought him, Send us into the swine, to enter them.
13 Jesus lhos allowed. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd, about two thousand, rushed into the sea and was drowned. - Mark 5: 1-13

In today's message we look at this passage with another look. Let's try to look this amazing passage about the look of the man who was possessed.

One of the best things we have in life is our freedom. Sad thing is someone being deprived of coming and going. Horrible situation is someone being stuck in any circumstance or place.

When someone is imprisoned that person, in a way, she is not only imprisoned in a cell, it is also trapped within herself. The person does nothing, does not see other people, does not, does not work, does not sell, purchase, and thus we can even say that this person does not live. This person actually takes a life incomplete. She survives.

This was the case of the man in the parable. He was away from his family, he lived alone, he did not work, he had no will of its own, he lived day and night wandering the city cemetery. This man was possessed by the devil. This man was completely taken by the enemy of God.

Can there be anything worse than being trapped by the devil?

Yes, there may be a lot worse. What?

Something much worse than that is someone being imprisoned for over 1000 demons. Exactly! This was the case of the man of words we just read. This man was possessed, was taken, was arrested at least by over 1000 demons. Can you imagine that?

Yeah! This man had no peace, there was healthy, had no freedom, had no perspective. However, despite much suffering something he had not lost: his hope. How so?

Perfectly! This man, even through difficult situations, he still hoped and wanted an opportunity to get rid of all that suffering. It just like you and me, when we are suffering, we want to live better days. This was the situation. Man, even in prison, never gave up and neither stopped fighting for his freedom. He resisted and fought bravely for his spiritual and physical liberation.

It was this steadfast hope that he, in the midst of great suffering he spent day and night, Impelled by the Spirit of God he observed from afar the coming of the Savior, he watched from afar the coming of the Great Deliverer, the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen! Glory to God!

As soon as the man saw Jesus he soon ran out and left in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Know why he did it?

For this purpose the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. - 1 John 3:8

No matter the size, depth, and width or the performance of the attack of the evil in our lives and in our family, we should never lose hope and give up. What we have to bear in mind, we believe that once and for all is that our Lord Jesus Christ is the one who really has the power and strength to undo all the works of the devil.

And they came to Jesus and saw the demoniac, which had the legion, sitting, clothed and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
And they that saw it told them what had happened to the demoniac, and concerning the swine.
And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
And he entered into the boat, and besought him what had possessed that he might be with him.
But Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, for friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done, and hath had compassion on thee.
And he was, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him and all marveled. - Mark 5:15-20

That's it. This is our message today:

No matter what the prison, the problem or difficult situation that the enemy insists on using to alight at, imprison, humiliate, and especially to keep us away from our God, we can not ever forget that our God, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God, our Triune God, He is the one who really can save us and deliver. He is the one who has the strength and power to destroy all the traps and prisons of this world overcome by sin. He alone can free us from all our pain and suffering.

Amen and thank God. Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
