How to be a better person - Gospel message of God's word

Many of us, especially me, since we need or we feel a great desire to become better people.

Like us, other people also want to be better professionals, teachers, mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, bosses, children, servants of God and many other things better. Human beings are like that. Our needs and shortcomings are many. So we are always looking to improve.

The fact is that, try as we might change something in us we can not find that much. Why does this happen?

1 There was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, an authority among the Jews.
2 He came to Jesus at night and said, "Teacher, we know that you teach from God, for no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him."
3 In reply Jesus declared, "I tell the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can someone be born when he is old? Of course, he can not enter a second time into his mother's womb and be reborn!"
5 Jesus answered, "I tell the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Do not be surprised by the fact that I have said is necessary that you be born again.
8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you can not tell where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. "- John 3: 1-8


The Lord Jesus explained this to Nicodemus

When Nicodemus came to visit the Lord Jesus, He told Nicodemus that a man and woman is born again unless he is born of the Spirit they could not see the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is precisely that better place we so much desire to conquer. It is this want to improve. We feel we need to be good, more supportive, more tolerant, less selfish, less materialistic, people calmer, better sense, responsible, kind and many other things that only the best will be possible if the Holy Spirit of God dwell in us . All that is best and good come exclusively from the virtues of the Holy Spirit of God. That's why, when we act alone, we can not change we so desire.



In the same way, the Lord Jesus said something similar when he compared us with a grain of wheat.

If the grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. - John 12:24

That's it. If you do not die to the flesh. If not abandon the typical things of the flesh and the world we will not be able to give good results.
The good results are exactly the result we get when we bury the old man and the old woman. If we do not bury things past the Holy Spirit of God can not act in our lives to give us a really new spirit. A new life in which we can finally produce many excellent fruits.

In summary:

Have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives as our God, in terms baptized, we attended meetings in the church, we partake of worship, sung praises glorifying God, having a strong faith, reading the Bible ... Is everything OK?

More or less.

This all just commenting just an excellent start. As someone who passes the entrance exam to attend college, so is our hike in the work.

The fact that our God has blessed us with everything that we have said only enables us to us to be prosperous, blessed and happy?

No way!

Actually everything that has been said is to enable us to prepare and that each of us can pick up your cross and move on.

And what is our cross?

We, each of us knows very well what his cross and sacrifice that we must face. It is exactly what we want to change. It's what we want to improve.

However, there is a sacrifice that is universal and that we should all strive to do that is: we renounce our will, obey and put into practice the commandments that our God has left us. That is what will show us if truly born again or not.
When we can finally give up our desire is that we will be better men and women.
