Caleb, an example of faith - Evangelical Messages from God's Word

30 Then Caleb quieted the people before making Moses, said: Let us go cheerfully, and let us seize it, because well able to overcome it.
31 They said, however, the men that went up with him: We can not go up against the people, for they are stronger than us.
32 Thus, before the sons of Israel a bad report that they had spied out the land, saying, The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature.
33 And there we saw the Nephilim, that is, the sons of Anak, who are descendants of the Nephilim, we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their eyes.

Numbers 13:30 to 33

Even in the midst of so many other men did not let Caleb lead by contrary opinions and exhorted the people to rely on the strong arm of the Lord of hosts, have faith, trust and confidence that the Almighty God would give them one more victory.

However, some men weak in faith and filled with a spirit of fear and terror were very shaken by what they saw in strange lands. These men looked at the problem using only the weak and limited and fleshly eyes were completely dominated by fear and unbelief in God.
Among the spies some said that men were giants and opponents, as they themselves saw as mere grasshoppers and weaknesses, enemies, much bigger than them, and certainly also see themselves as such.

This is an episode that makes it clear that we will always be the size of our faith. The same did not happen with the boy later that David to the Philistine giant face that unlike these men, it was an excellent example of why we should always look to God and not to problems. If we do so God will always winners. Winners not by our merit or quality, but only for the glory and majesty of our Almighty God who is the one who has the strength and power to overcome any situation or enemy for bigger and stronger than this will be.

24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit, and why hath followed me, I will bring into the land he entered, and his seed shall possess it.

Numbers 14:24

The Spirit who dwelt with different Caleb was the Holy Spirit of God. It is the Holy Spirit who gives man wisdom, Fortaleza, insight, loyalty, faith, Fear of God, confidence and many other excellent and spectacular qualities and virtues that he alone possesses.

We know that God's Spirit dwells only in those who ardently desires and walk in the ways of the Lord. If we want to take that same Holy Spirit of God, the same Spirit who dwelt Unlike with Caleb must sanctify us more and obey the commandments of the Lord never grieve the wonderful Spirit that God the Father puts in our lives to help us, guide, give strength and persevere in walking, always believing and trusting in our God of Love.

6 Then the children of Judah came unto Joshua in Gilgal: and Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said: You know what the Lord spoke to Moses the man of God at Kadesh Barnea about you and me .
7 Forty years old was I when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land, and I brought him word again as it was in my heart.
8 My brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the Lord my God.
9 In that day Moses swore, saying, Surely the land on which your foot stepped'll be an inheritance to you and your children forever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God.
10 And now behold, the Lord, as said, kept me alive these forty-five years, from the time that the Lord spoke this word to Moses, Israel walked in the wilderness: and, behold, today I have already eighty-five years ;
11 yet I am as strong as the day Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war and to leave and enter.
12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day, for you heard on that day that the Anakim were there, and cities great and fortified. Doth the Lord will be with me to drive them out, as he said.

Joshua 14: 6-15

The result and the reward of our faith and trust in the Lord always will come, even if it may take a little longer than we were expecting.

Everything was made by God and for God. It is he who knows things and He is the one who decides when and how. Our only obligation is to wait for God. It is expected by our God of love and he will always have the best for us.

That's what Caleb did. He waited confidently in the Lord and in His promises. Caleb was not discouraged, not Caleb muttered and not grieved God Father

God is not like man to lie, just doing His work in the life of his servant Caleb, even after waiting for forty-five years, he continued with a different spirit, a jovial spirit, strong, confident, full of vitality, full of health and hope for the future.

Actually that young Caleb eighty-five years of age had the same Holy Spirit of God when he was younger. Caleb did not give up and persevered in walking in the ways of the Lord and the Holy Spirit of God honored him, saved him and led him to the realization of your dreams: enter the promised land and be healthy to live their reward.
What is your promised land?
What is your dream?

You already know the model and the paths to follow so that you also see their dreams come true.

Amen and thank God. Stay in the Peace of the Lord Jesus Christ
