43 Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy to.
44 But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.
46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have ye? Do not the tax collectors do the same?
47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do ye too? Do not make the Gentiles also the same?
48 Seats ye therefore perfect, even as your Father is perfect heavenly.

Matthew 5:43-48


For starters it is important to make clear who is our enemy:

The enemy is that person who is against us, who lives at war with us and we with it. Is the person who wants our evil, is the person who is hostile to is the person who annoys or irritates us constantly.

Let's see if we understand correctly what the Word of God is trying to tell us: The Lord Jesus Christ is saying that these people should love and not hate them as it would be easier for our sinful nature. Why is it that He is telling us to do that.

Let's take a good deal in this great teaching of our beloved Lord:

42 Jesus answered them, If God were your Father, ye amaríeis me because I left and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? because ye can not hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father, he is a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth, when he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: because is a liar and the father of lies.
45 But because I tell the truth, ye believe me not.
46 Which of you convicts me of sin? If I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47 He that is of God hears God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

John 8:42-46

The Lord Jesus said this to those people who were against Him preaching. People who hated and persecuted him. We can conclude from this that these people were enemies of the Lord of Truth.

This lack of understanding and comprehension happens because people do not speak the same language. There is no dialogue. Why does this happen?

Everything has to do with spiritual affiliation of each person. It has to do with who she is and who she has been served:

Let's see more of this great teaching of the Holy Spirit of God:

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, as God hath said will dwell in them and walk among them and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

2 Corinthians 6:14-16

That is why the Lord Jesus Christ instructed us to wish well and pray for those who are against us, that show or declare themselves openly or not our enemy.

When we pray for our enemies or adversaries are, in thought, sending the God Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God for their lives.

It may seem strange, but it is a blessing not only for who is the target of prayer, but also for those who pray, who to send. Check it out:

4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men;
5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1: 4-5

When we pray for our enemies and adversaries we are sending the blessings of the Lord Jesus for the life of those people. As we already know: the Lord Jesus is the Light of Life. Thus when we are, even in thought, invoking the Light to illuminate the life that she does not have the other as a person who is invoking the Light unless it also illuminated.

God is Love!
Love is God!
Jesus is eternal!
Love is Jesus!
