Jesus Calms the Storm - Gospel Message of God's word

35 On that day, at dusk, he said to his disciples: "Let's go to the other side."
36 Leaving the crowd, they took him in the boat, just as he was. Also other boats with him.
37 rose a strong gale, and the waves threw themselves on the boat, so that it was filling up with water.
38 Jesus was in the stern, asleep with his head on a pillow. The disciples woke him and cried out, "Teacher, do You not care that we die?"
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the sea: "Be still! Calm down!" And the wind ceased, and there was complete calm.
40 Then he asked his disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Still have no faith?"
41 They were terrified and asked each other: "Who is this that even wind and sea obey him?" - Mark 4:35 to 41

Jesus asked?

Why are you so afraid? Still have no faith?

These words of the Lord Jesus might as well be written like this:

Sons, daughters do not be afraid. Have faith that everything, absolutely everything is possible to him who believes.

The Lord Jesus has taught us that before. He had already taught us how our faith in the Father, in Him and in the Holy Spirit of God have the power to do many things, including to stop any storm and bring back the calm that for now, disappeared from our lives.

Today's message speaks to us as we go through the most difficult moments of our lives.

There are times when we look and just end up seeing dark clouds and a sky full load. As much as we look at the distant horizon nothing raises the spirits, there is nothing to tell us that everything will work out. Finally, discouraged and just giving us a total lack of hope.

What the Lord is telling us today is that while the storms, contrary winds and the storms of life come upon us, we should not be afraid of them, for fear overrides our faith, for fear defeat our victory.

Victory comes only to those who, with courage, with faith in God, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God, steadfastly move forward even when the horizon is completely hidden.

These people, the winners know very well that, through faith in God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God. That dark and frightening landscape will give way to the beautiful sky of glory.

We can not ever forget that:

Faith, trust that has really power, is one that believes, without ever doubting, in the strength and power of the Holy Trinity: The Father God, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God.
