Beating yourself - Posts Gospel of God's word

Better a patient man than a warrior, better control his temper than to conquer a city. - Proverbs 16:32

Control up yourself. This is the theme of our message today.

According to the word of God, the person who can control their emotions, thoughts, feelings and attitudes accomplishes something much more excellent than conquer an entire city.

What's in a city?

In a city are:

Many people;
Many homes;
Many companies;
Many trades;
Many cars;
Much money and miscellaneous goods.

That way we can also interpret the word as well:

A person who can control their emotions, thoughts, feelings and attitudes she does something far more excellent than getting conquer other people, cars, houses, businesses or much money.

Let's continue:

When we have achieved something that we are very happy about that right?

We will detail:

When we can buy a car we are happy;
When we can win the love of our life we are happy;
When we can buy our own home we are happy;
When we can build a company we are happy;
When we can make lots of money we are happy;

All these things, when we can do them, they have the amazing ability to make us very, very happy. OK? Perfect.

However, as we have seen before, the word of God is teaching us that the master himself, to conquer yourself is much better than winning any of these things we've seen before.

Given the above the word of God we can already conclude a few things:
The man or woman who can dominate himself is the true / a winner / the world. Wonder! Glory to God.

After all, what is to master yourself?

Mastering yourself up is to fight with perseverance and overcoming all inclinations that man or woman has to do evil. It is the evil who imposes all losses to man. It is the evil that makes man a loser and a loser.

The good is good for anyone who does and who receives, but evil is bad for everyone. Thus, we can say that the win itself is the same as overcoming evil that exists within each of us.

How can we overcome ourselves?

We can not defeat us when we do the evil I do not want to do.
We can beat ourselves doing what we want to do well.

Eg

When we do not reject our God, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God and not their words of wisdom and love we're making the main options we could do to start winning ourselves.

We can not forget that the word of God also reveals that:

The will and to act comes from God and not from ourselves. Jesus also tells us that without Him we can do nothing. Thus:

We beat ourselves when we do not practice any kind of violence;
We beat ourselves when we do not teach and do not evil;
When we do not avenge;
When not envy;
When not covet what is not ours;
When not reciprocate evil that we receive;
When not practicing a sex life that does not please God;
When not steal;
When we are not individualistic or selfish;
When we do not commit crimes;
When not caluniamos;
When not lie;
When not betray;
When not deceive;
When not omitted;
When not transgress the laws of God and the laws of men;
When, despite the difficulties, we will not give up doing good.

And how can we overcome ourselves?

The Apostle Paul told us:

Therefore, for Christ's sake, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, I am strong. - 2 Corinthians 12:10

Here is the recipe for success:

When I am weak in pride, humility'm champion;
When I am weak in prostitution, pornography and lust, I'm strong in chastity and holiness;
When I am weak in adultery, I am strong in my faithfulness to God and to my companion;
When in doubt I am weak, I am strong in faith;
When I am weak in vice and drugs, I am strong in the virtues;
When I am weak in myself, I'm strong in myself because with the command and guidance of God the Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit of God, I have control over my life. I'm the boss of me and not the circumstances, people or the world around me.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Try to do what is right in the sight of all.
18 Make every effort to live at peace with everyone.
19 Beloved, never seek revenge, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. - Romans 12:17 to 19

For someone who might one day be a real winner or winning such a person should prepare for that. Surely that person will have to start from the beginning. Nobody is born knowing nothing.

If we really want to win this is undoubtedly our greatest battle, we should start doing something now. If we want to be stronger, firmer and truly winners of the world, we must with great faith and perseverance, we exercise it and train hard.

If we have strength, faith and perseverance, over time, we will reap our first fruits.

Later, back at the front, not to quit halfway, without us noticing each day we'll be closer to our great victory over our greatest enemy great and is exactly what every one of us.

Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
