Friends of the world, enemies of God - Gospel message of God's word

Infidels do not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. - James 4:4

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him - 1 John 2:15


Why should we not love the things of the world?

The whole world lieth in wickedness. - 1 John 5:19

Because things in the world are against the word and will of our God. The world, as it is completely dominated by the one who is in the world, it is contrary to the Word of God and to God himself.

As a sample of what we're talking about, see what the devil did when he influenced not only Judas, the traitor, but also those who decided the world so that they ended up choosing the things of the world, choosing Barabás and leaving aside the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the world which speaks the Lord Jesus Christ. is all that is here on this earth, which is against the word and that takes us away from our God and Lord.

And hold firmly to the trustworthy message the way it was taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. - Titus 1:9

The teaching that I offer you is good, so do not abandon my instruction. - Proverbs 4:2


He guides us why we cling to the gospel and its teachings to the world that corruption will not get involved and then destroy us.

The purpose is that we are no longer as children, brought from one place to another by waves or blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men that induce to error. - Ephesians 4:14

So we must be careful with all that the world offers us. We must beware of those who walked, we talked with the places we frequent, with the books we read, the movies and television programs we watch, with the sites visited and etc. ..

Every moment the world deceives us. Often what the world offers us and who has the appearance of good and pleasurable, it is actually a bad thing and later shown as it really is: extremely bitter.

Being a friend of the world is to be a friend of all that was created and is maintained by the enemy of God.

If you pass these instructions to the brothers, will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished with the truths of faith and of good doctrine which you have followed. - 1 Timothy 4:6
